A layering system known as Air Gap Technology™ allows the combinations of lighter weight fabrics to increase the thermal heat resistance (Arc Rating) of the garments. ArcGear™ Hazard Risk Category 4 jacket features 50" coat, multi-layer Nomex® and Kelvar® construction, military collar, covered zipper front closure, storm flap with Velcro® closure and Nomex® wristlets. 40 cal/cm² rating.
